The 2D & SCM Lab brings together physicists, materials scientists, and electrical engineers from Bilkent UNAM, METU, and partner institutions.
Dr. T. Serkan Kasırga
Associate Professor of Physics. PI of the 2D & SCM Lab.
Serkan earned his Ph.D. from the University of Washington (December2013) and established the 2D & Strongly Correlated Materials Lab at UNAM in January 2014. His research spans novel quantum-material synthesis via real-time CVD, scanning photocurrent microscopy, and ion-driven phase transitions in low-dimensional oxides and chalcogenides.
He has secured eleven external research grants as PI, was named to the BAGEP young-investigator class in 2021, and supervises an active group of graduate and undergraduate researchers across two campuses.
